Dear Childress Seniors and Teachers 2010,
The year is almost over and we have hit the end. I really miss childress and all the people in it. I had a rough start but I had just started adjusting when I had to move AGAIN. I am back at boswell and doing great. It's good to be home. I am graduating as 3rd in my class. I got a full ride scholarship to Murray State for Cheerleading and Will transfer to OSU in two years. I don't think I would have made it this far if it werent for the teachers at childress pushing me to my highest potential and the support of my classmates along the way. I love childress and am hoping to be back in time for yalls graduation. I graduate on saturday the 15th of May at 10 in the morning. I want to hear from you guys so call me kelsy hinton has my number and you guys stay in touch. I love you all and wish you the very best in life. Thank you Teachers and CONGRATULATIONS SENIORS OF 2010 WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!

~MY BELONGINGS~

I personally know what its like to have your home or something that belongs to you taken away and told its not yours. I have been pulled from my home I have been sent away I have had to adjust many many times. Its a hard thing to go through and like the woman in the article said no matter how much money you offer it can not fix the emotional problems that were caused by other people. I remember being like 7 or 8 and the bank reposesing my parents house in Boswell the police came and only gave us a few minutes to gather a few belongings out of our house, and there we were no where to go nothing to do. It was horrible and all because payments were late and bankers were money hungry jerks. Many bankers don't know what its like to be on that end of the rope but let me tell you its not a joy ride. People now days don't care about any one but themselves until it comes down to gossip or something. Its all about hurting someones feelings or making people feel bad about themselves just so you can feel better about your own self its ridiculous and absurd the world is a dirty evil place and the people living in it are not any better.

PaReNtS dAy At ChS!!!!!!!

Today is Parents Day at CHS.....Probably the most awkward thing I have ever seen in myentire life but its fun. But I dont think I would like to have parents at school everyday. Its the eight hours a day that I am free from them and they look at it as the eight hours a day I get to be someone elses problem LOL. I have a mom dad and a step mom and even though I have had my differences with them they are still awesome parents im still alive so I think they did alright.
My assignment today is to write 18 things I like about my parents and the five they like about me.

1. They love me more then anything in the world.
2. They do so much for me and then some.
3. Everything they do is usually done in my best interest.
4. They taught me how to be successful.
5. They feed me and thats probably the only thing I ask for.
6. Being materialistic they pay my cell phone bill
7. They have taught me how to have manners, and most kids today don't have those
8.They have not enlisted me in the Air Force yet or sent me to milatary Academy like they say they will.
9.They have also taught me that being angry and yelling gets you no where and I learn that from just watching them.
10. My mom has put up with me for 17 years and was always there when I needed her.
11. They allowed me to do the things I want such as Cheerleading and Dance.
12. They made me get a JOB!!!!!!!
13. Me and my step mom are shopping partners!
14. They did my laundry until I decided I wanted to do it.
15. They are involved parents and most kids hate it but its probably my favorite thing about them.
16. My dad is over protective of me and has taught my brothers to be over protective of me so that I dont end up with what they think is a bad guy which is pretty much every guy.
17.They have accepted the fact that im growing up and they have to let me go eventually
18. They trust me enough that I have some freedom but still punish me when I need it and I love that because I would be a REALLY REALLY bad kid!
19. THEY are MY PaReNtS!!!!!!!!

The Life Changing Teachers

This week I was asked to write about a teacher that has changed my life in my opinion every teacher has changed my life but very few have changed it drastically. I havent really lived in Childress long enough to get attached to a teacher and them change my life but every teacher here has believed in me and has really worked to bring out my full potential. I will always have two favorite teachers and they are the two teachers that have made school and life so much better. Mrs. Snow and Mr. Lindly are the greatest teachers in the history of teaching and thats the God honest truth, they don't only teach you the knowledge they get paid to teach you, they always teach you so much more. They are the teachers that every kid talks about and you always know about them before you even get to high school because they either taught a sibling went to school with your parents and Mr. Lindly probably even taught your parents.
I guess I will start with Mrs. Snow, She has always been like a second mother to me and is an incredible woman. Her son is my age and we grew up together since kindergarten, but i have always had a crush on him and I know that all of Boswell knew it too. Any ways thats a different story, but Mrs. Snow was my typing teacher and the best Cheerleading coach anyone could ever ask for. I was around her almost all the time because if I wasn't in her room trying to get out of some other teachers class I was doing something for cheerleading and she was also our class sponsor. Mrs. Snow has always been an outspoken teacher and wasn't afraid to be mean when she had to but I loved it. I remember when she threw the paddle on the ground and she threw it so hard it bounced back up and hit the ceiling. Trust me she will put the fear of God into you if she has to, and has been known to make many high school boys cry. Even though it sounds like it she isnt mean unless she has to be but in Boswell all the boys are rowdy so its a daily thing with them. She has always been a sweet lady who has been there for me when I needed her and could trust her with my life. And she would risk hers for me if it ever came down to it. She is a great teacher she has always pushed me when I thought I couldn't go no farther and has helped me alot to realize life is only as hard as you make and if you put the effort into it you will always get what you want. She was one of the most inspiring teachers Boswell has had. She was always doing something with the school and usually had her plate to full but still managed to do it personally to me she is a hero and without her i don't think I would've made it through high school without her actually I know I would have but I it wouldn't have been the same.
Mr. Lindly is an amazing teacher and the only teacher at Boswell who taught his class and people payed attention. He is the most respected teacher and probably the toughest one. He has a method of teaching that not only teaches you the facts but also prepares you for college. Mr. Lindly has literally pushed me to my full potential and made me realize that life is only going to take me a far as I want it to go. He is one of the many teachers that love their jobs and will continue doing it for as long as he can. He has been a teacher for a very very long time taught most of our parents and maybe a few grandparents with as young as kids are having babies in Boswell, Oklahoma, and the man is always talking about retirement and he cant never make himself do it. He loves his job to much and will be there until he cant do it any more or they make him leave. He has always made it to where boys sit on one side and girls on the other and there is absolutely no talking. He says there are less distractions that way. He is also a big man about respect not only tword himself and other adults but to other kids so pretty much to EVERYONE. I remember one time Levi Hess and Bradley Snow and im pretty sure there was another boy in there somewhere knocked all my stuff off of my desk and just stepped all over it. Well of course they done it in Mr. Lindly's class that was there first mistake because you dont goof off in there especially as a sophomore who knew better, but he also found it disrespectful twords me and they got a long lecture over respecting women and other peoples belongings then took a few licks a piece over it. All of Boswells teachers are good at what they do well some of them anyways but none of them will ever amount to what Mrs. Snow and Mr. Lindly have. They are amazing teachers and I love them both very much.

She's Pregnant and He's Distant

The name of my band is She's Pregnant and He's Distant.....but it was not by choice LOL!!!!!
we had to google our name and then thinks. When I googled Brooke thinks it said Brooke thinks she's pregnant. So then I googled She's Pregnant to get the title of my band and that just happened to be She's Pregnant and He's Distant then I had to google that to get a photo and that is my album cover, and I just wanted to explain that so nobody got the idea that I am pregnant and my boyfriend is leaving me because I am not that stupid....But you got to admit in today's society that would be a ordinary name for a band.

Letter to Me

Dear Brooke,
Years have flown and you are now much older. You are still not very tall and if I'm guessing right your pom poms are still on your headboard. You Have probably accomplished your goal of being successful and becoming an agricultural and animal science teacher. Hopefully you are married and a have a kid of your own. I am sure Ella has grown up nicely and is doing good for herself. You always tried to be a good role model for her. Keep your head on straight and don't loose focus on the things that truly matter most. If you havent changed your ways by now you are probably not going to. Even though you chose not to listen your dad is probably still batting 1000 on all the things that said would happen to you. your life could've been exactly how you wanted it and now that you think about it was turning down the air force the worst decision you ever made. High School ended but your probably still living in it. Remember the DRAMA never ends!!!! Live life to the fullest but take it one day at a time.

Love always,
your best friend, Brooke
